In the old days the owner's of the teams paid for their stadiums. Now we pay for them and can't afford to take the family to a game. I lived in Cleveland when the city was trying to finance the new stadium. It was on the ballad for years and was always shot down. Finally they asked to tax tobacco and alcohol and it passed. Barely.
Regarding the school systems: my step-son was in and out of trouble for years. Skipped classes and was suspended and was able to make up the work. Why go?
His mother had him transferred out of various classes because the teacher was "hard on him". What a joke. Why no punishment? When I was in school if you misbehaved you got paddled. It was embarrasing and rarely happened. As parents we are at fault.
