I have been going to the pavs since 2008 and I am very well connected with the owner. He stated to me three weeks ago that the tribal police from now on will be closing it down more earlier than normal. Mark stated it will now be closing depending on the capacity of the show in which the show is closed down. 8:30-9:30.

I was there till 6'sh and it was maybe 60% full at the height of the show. When it's slow the tribal police tend be kicking people out around 8:30'sh I was also told the tribal police are working closely with DPS* now with unmarked trucks on the freeway at closing due to the influx of racing and people driving very reckless on the freeway which I was also told is part of the early closing's now...So yes there is always people ruining it for others. Not to mention the freeway is 55 with all the construction so they are handing out tickets in hoards.

Drive safely.

yeah, it make sense. I was surprised last time I went on barret jackson weekend, maybe less than 10 cars in whole parking lot, completely dead. I guess it's not the place to go anymore..

isn't there a mom and pop ice cream store that would like to have a little extra foot travel on Saturday night?

The thing that I have been noticing as of late is a lot of car club/groups are having there own personal meets during the week sometime. I have personally seen groups of S2000's parked at the south east corner of tempe marketplace parked by the Danny's Car Wash on Saturday nights

I am out of the loop on car meets but there is one on Wednesdays in queen creek. There is or used to be one on Thursdays that was huge. There would be typically 3-5 S2000's at anytime and well over 100 other cars. Peoria there is a rather large car meet on a Wednesday or Thursday i'm not sure what day. There is or used to be a big one on Saturdays at the mesa riverview I heard. There is a car meet that happens time after time called the instagram meet and it's typically at frank Lloyd wright and Scottsdale rd* and They had literally over 300 cars.

Coming from someone that has been going to the pav's since 2008. The place is getting over run with Camaro's, Corvette's and mustang's They have literally given each of them three clubs a personal weekend for each of there own to pile in to the pav's. Mark says he has gotten massive complaints from other car groups but as he states it brings foot traffic to the area for local businesses and so on. So apparently it's what's best for business at this point.

There is a meet at 51st ave and bell on saturday night. a lot different from pavs though. most imports, few muscle cars. fast and furious but ghetto type meet. S2000 would be a super car there and my prelude blends in perfect. lol

Do Not Miss This.

The last meet had well over 300 cars...That is not a exaggerated number either.

"Beat The Summer Heat Instagram Meet'

There is talk of 1.500 Cars coming and around 800 people have already stated they are going it's only the first week of april.

There is now 1.200 cars supposedly coming to the instagram meet april 25'th. Not even the sema, lowrider and goodguy's shows can best that number.
