New Fun in the Sun Sign Up thread!

Like 9KRDLIN mentioned, once we get a better feel for the number of attendees from out of town we will reserve a block of rooms at a reduced rate at The La Quinta Inn - East Mesa (it's very close to Honda of Superstition Springs who are hosting). There's also the huge Superstition Springs Mall directly across the street from the dealership - just in case you're a Shopaholic.
We have a GREAT drive lined up for Sat morning and fun stuff to do all weekend - ending with a Sun brunch / drive in the Valley of the Sun.
PLEASE go to the website, check out the agenda and signup as soon as possible. Should be perrrfectttttt top down weather!!!
Don't forget, there will be a prize to the S-owner who drives the furthest!

Why does the signup on the website force you to give your address in order to signup? I've had my s2k broken into and totaled already, and wish to not have it happen again. Last thing we need is for your SQL DB to get hacked and all our s2k's to become targets for seat theft.

Address is not a required field
I would not worry too much about address information. If so then also worry about phone information because that too can be traced too.
Furthermore, and maybe I'm wrong here but if someone was good enough to hack a site for address information, I think they would target more valuable sites other than getting address information to steal S2000 seats/acceessories.
I assume this is MYSQL Boofster ? Or are you using SQL Server/Oracle ?
As long as you are NOT using sa/admin for username password we are good

The address info will be used to find who drove the farthest. It is not required. If you don't feel good about sharing it, you can skip that step.
The phone number we somewhat need in case we need to reach you for whatever reason. I can remove it from being required if people think that is too much to ask.
I have taken all precautions to make the database safe and secure.
Using MySQL with PHP. All the latest versions and server security patches.
The password is max strength and the db is setup so it won't accept calls from anywhere but itself (localhost) so good luck cracking that.
I've been doing this for at least 10 years now and never had any issues.
