What is hilarious is when you go to a dealer to look at a used S2000 how they try to upsell the cars features and get all the specs wrong!

Tell them they can make it up to you by finding a private party sale so you don't have to pay sales tax, now that would be service.

What I hate worst about walking in is they assume you're some punk kid looking for trouble.
I walked by an S back in the day and asked if I could buy it...the guy smirked and walked away.

I'm gonna wear a white suit with some Gucci shades next time.

Cali is the way to go but 12% sales tax isn't all that appealing. They won't find me what I want because I refuse to pay additional fees. I am more than capable of looking on clist, autotrader and cars.com . They assume you don't have bankroll

Hahaha they just called me back and he said they have 2 left, "they just have to transfer the cars over to midway." He said they just sold the 2010 black s2000. He again tried to sell me another 03 suzuka http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false and the same 07 red http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false These people don't f@#kin get it... I told him leguna, black or white 06+ ONLY!! f@#kin a I'm about to go down there and Bruce Lee all their asses

Tax there varies by the city you buy it from.
I got my S from Fairfield, CA and the tax there was actually LESS THAN AZ!
So if I went to the MVD here I would of still had to pay more $ to them to register.
I got Cali plates instead to avoid more cash going out.

My advice is find the EXACT car you want and figure out a way to make it happen.

Get car in Cali and pay tax to AZ when you register it if you have to..
Only catch is the payment to the MVD for the tax would not be rolled into the loan!

99% of all car salespeople ARE ass-hats. I work directly with the salesmen at a Chevy dealership in Tucson.
Anyone in Tucson hiring?

I couldn't agree more. I drove 12 hours to get mine back in 2001 and it's worth it in the end when you know you will be with the car for a good while. Just don't settle and find a way to get what you want bud.
