I think this new route was much more enjoyable compared to Yarnell Hill. Yarnell is just a hill with fast sweepers. This new route as mentioned was a real roller coaster with quick elevation changes, blind corners, and some pretty fun turns. Also only got stuck behind 2 vehicles, one turned, the other pulled over. Only down side is it takes awhile to reach on 93 and you stay in the valley longer so its hot.
Mark, it will depend on what you want to do. If you want to become a better driver overall, look into doing some karting and maybe doing a driving school at Bondurant. I would start with some karting and a school to sharpen your skills and reflexes. Plus having an official school under your belt will teach you a lot of basics and fundamentals.
After some "proper" training, look into doing and autocross or track day so you can take what you learned, and apply and get to know the S2000 more. Then you can hone your skills and knowledge of the S2000.
Dont feel bad though, the S2000 is a real b*****. She is a wonderful car, and extremely rewarding to drive. Problem is she can bite with very little warning, and she can bite hard. Over the years we have seen people that owned a S2000 for a few days wreck the car, and we have seen very experienced and skilled drivers crash the car. Point is, the car wants to be driven, and driven hard which makes us want to push her. As you experienced, and many many others have, she will get to a limit and then she bites!!!
Just this past weekend one of my friends in Germany totaled their S2000 on the Nurburgring. Skilled, or novice, the car can and will get you!
