Your not alone, I have had similar issues. After the 2nd time I finally splurged and got the super duper insurance from discount and of course I haven't had a problem since.

My stock tires have lasted 25k so far and I still don't see the wear indicator.

The pole positions do not come in 215/45R17 for the fronts - I am very nervous about mis-matching the front and rears on this car.

I prefer the RE050 over the stock S02s. The car feels more stable and less tail happy with the REs.
I was driving around with 6lbs of pressure in the LR tire part of yesterday and the car felt REALLY swirly.
