Default Love Wasting Money On Tires

I just got back from ordering a $240 rear tire after getting a nail near the sidewall. This is the THIRD rear tire I have purchased after having the same problem within three years. All of the tires had a ton of tread remaining.

Over $650 spent replacing tires with long lives remaining.

245/40/17 Bridgestone RE050 at Discount Tire

Same tire is $200 on Tire Rack after shipping without mounting and balancing

I see it as a $20 convenience fee to be able to order the tire while I am in the store.

$187 cost + $18 shipping + $20 mounting cost @ Discount = $225

I'm pretty sure Road Hazard from Tire Rack is only offered if you buy 4 tires at a time.

You should avoid driving over nails.
