Default Headlight bulb?

Does anyone have any suggestions on which what bulbs are really good for replacement? I don't want to spend $150 for the OEM but will if it comes down to it. My drivers side went out and on my side of town, S2000's aren't seen so police like messing with me. So any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks =)

I have yet to see the bulb itself burn out. HID bulbs do not actually have any parts that can fail easily. The ballast is almost always the problem.

I've got some extra sylvania bulbs if that turns out to be the case (5000Ks - slightly whiter/blue than OEM). BNIB $80 for 2.

^^^ This, can't repair them. The ballast is mounted on the underside of the headlight assembly. Removing the front bumper would probably be the easiest way to access them.
