Default Got the car dynoed

Dyno was an MD-500. Best of 2 runs was 221 HP and 158 TQ to the rear wheels. Mods are Berk Header, Berk 63.5 HFC, Tanabe Medalion Touring Catback, and K&N FIPK. Plot is from the first one.

Wat? How the hell could you put down that much power on a mustang dyno no less? Are you sure the guy did it right?

Yeah, I'm sure he was running it right. The other cars I saw on it were laying down believable numbers for the mods. I'd have run it on another of the same dyno for comparison. I'm not sure who else has a dyno in Tucson, maybe I can get it dynoed one of the times I'm up in Phoenix.

Chris with my old AP1 just put down 241/153(?) on the same dyno. LOL, my 06 with Flashpro tune only did 206 last April so there is something going on for sure. I guess air density today is equivalent to sea level. Just goes to show how much dyno readings can vary, even the same one.

Do you have the '06 with you? You could always run it again today and see. I always thought your numbers are on the low side for what you had done. I've read that UMS accepts ESTuned dyno reads for their Time Attack events for whatever that is worth, I'll have to check with them one of the times I'm planning on heading Phoenix and get some pulls on their dyno to compare.

I thought about running mine as a control subject. There were another 5-6 cars in line when I left around 2 and I didn't want to stay any longer. Actually I think my numbers are fairly typical of this dyno. There was a video of all the runs from a previous dyno day, there was a AP1 that put down 193. I'll post up my plot for comparison, you can see the torque curve on yours is shifted up almost 20 across the board. Regardless, you guys put down good numbers for sure and it's nice to see my old car is running strong.

I think that I'm just used to FRS dynos looking so terrible. Why do they put out such low numbers? Also this makes me miss my s2000

Because they stuck an uninspired motor in the car. The car is great suspension-wise, but the you need to add exhaust, intake, and tune just to bring it up to the S2000 stock power levels.

True cai/h/tp/e is actually substantial from my experience. I've crept away from other ap1s with just intake and exhaust a few times on the freeway. The difference is real.

U talking about EStuned?
I put down 193whp/131tq at the dyno day last yr in June(2013) with 120k on the clock in my AP1.
Print out doesn't show it cuz for some reason they cropped it at 8k and obviously ap1 goes to 9k.
Got the videos of my runs also, recently did a valve adjustment and I can tell u first hand of how much it made a difference. Got videos racing my bro in laws g35 before and after. All I got is Tsudo 70mm exhaust and invidia 70mm test pipe.
I believe u will be at Mt. Lemmon meet on 8/3 and it will be nice meeting everyone
