Fun In The Sun Planning Thread

I agree with Back-cracker on this one. We need far more planning before we can start a real sign-up thread. I won't be here, but I can assure you that signing up for an event that will cost an unknown amount, take place at an unknown location, on an unknown date is very difficult to do.
At the very least, we need dates, a location, and an amount per person. Restaurants, activities, etc can all be set later, that's not so important to those trying to plan to make it - the date/location/amount bit is.
If the location changes, we can let everyone know. If the date changes, we can let everyone know, if we charge too much for registration the excess cash can go to prizes and food at the bbq. But without having those already set, sign ups are going to be slim.
Skibum, have you been able to contact anyone at the tracks or stadium about our meet?
Since the date has to be something that the venue has open, the first step is finding out what venue will host our meet, and what dates in March/April they have available. It's no good for us to pick a date that we can all agree on if we don't have anywhere to meet... We also might have to pay for the location, it would be difficult to set a price for people if we don't know how much the location will cost.
Sorry if this post sounds harsh. I'm tired and quite a bit stressed. I just want to see this thing go off well for the guys and gals that will be around for it.

alright guys, we really gotta get going on this....what are we gonna do? where are we gonna do it? and when?
If you want ppl from out of state to come, then this will HAVE to be a weekend event. Now we can either set up a dinner on friday, early breakfast and cruise to bbq lunch on saturday, and cruise back for dinner and an after party? and then brunch on sunday(keep it old school). Obviously this will have to be during spring (im hoping it's either feb29-march2 or Mar 21-23 so i can make it )
The "where part, you guys will have to figure out...i will talk to Tempe Honda tomorrow to see if they will be willing to let us have a meet and a bbq there. The freeway is right next to it and there are a couple of hotels nearby also so it'll be simple and easy for the out-of-state guys.

we can take the 87 up to payson and have lunch there. Then, we can take the 260hwy to Forrest Lake to Young Hwy to US60 west and back for dinner.....I dunno how long this will take so if ANYONE wants to volunteer to scope out the area and see how long it takes (counting about a 1 1/2 hr-2hr break for lunch)

I had a clear bra and head-light protection done today - I asked the owner if he would be interested in sponsoring an S2000 meet and he said he certainly would (like a couple free head-light protection kit installions, and coupons good towards a discount on window tint or a clear bra installation). Of course he commented that he typically only does it for meets that have a good turn-out.
This is the shop that did my work - http://www.phprotection.com/
They are located in Chandler at Arizona and Elliott. He did an awsome job on my clear bra and headlights if anyone is looking.
