Few ideas for the future (input appreciated)
So I am planning on changing things up next spring/summer, and I wanted you guys' input. I plan on either getting a 2000-2006 (give or take a few years) camry, corrola, maxima, altima, civic, accord, etc... (some sort of midsize sedan, or even a van, I dont care) that is under 8k AND an s2000 for around 15-20k OR get an evo X mr (used). I dont expect to get anything rolling until after February of next year. What do you guys think? good idea, bad idea?

I was down to the IS350 and the Evo X myself. Couldn't find many used ones and what was there was $30k+
I didn't test drive it but everybody told me the interior felt like a $10k car.

I love my 99 maxima... It's a nice, torquey change from the s2k (and a little roomier). I think the maxima has a bit of an identity crisis; it used to be Nissan's flagship "4-door-sports-car," but when they redid the Altima, suddenly there was a lighter, cheaper, VQ35 engine-d 4-door. I still love my maxima though. Easy to work on too.

For dollars to grins ratio, the Legacy and Maxima mentioned are good. Also Altima, Mazda 6 and Ford Fusion. How important is power - some of these have turbo or V6 options (standard on Maxima). I'd say look for one with ABS and at least a 5 spd auto. List any other options important to you - might steer you in one direction or another.
You could also go rear wheel drive and get an older Lexus IS or Infiniti G35 sedan.

Price for the daily is paramount. Because the lower the price on the daily, the more I can spend on my S. The more I have available to spend, the more options I get (i.e. newer, less miles, etc...). Power wise, I could honestly care less, because I went from the S to a base mazda3, that was a learning experience. So whether its an awd, fwd, or a rwd I am good either way, because I know that I will have an awesome rwd car as my fun car.
