Engine shampooing
Just had the motor shampooed about 5 days ago. Now its starting to bog, or retard on the gas in the first 10 minutes of driving. The motor is SC with a vortec kit, Im sure its not a boost leak however ive spoken with Caesar and he is thinking it is the mas air flow sensor plug.
Im just wondering if anyone else has came accross this problem or something similar to this. Im at Camel back honda right now getting them to check if there is any mositure in the plugs ( i know i should be at earnhardt but Caesar schedule me at 7:30 in the morning, couldnt wake up and he was booked full). The bogging goes away after 10 minutes of driving.
The car may be in open loop when its cold, meaning there is something wrong with the fuel map, but when it goes to closed loop, the car seams to run fine.?? Who can figure?
Thanks for reading this post, i know its not as exciting as what to do on a first date

Don't shampoo your engine...is the only advice I can give the next person since it is too late for you and you didn't want to get in to see the main man, Cesar "More Powerful than Julius, Badder than Augustus" Molina...
And there is a Camelback Honda?! Doesn't show up on Honda's website so you may have another problem in the near future.
Now back to the first date thread

show case honda is what its called. The problem was solved. I was under the impression moisture was inhibiting a good spark in the wet plugs. Had the honda guys pulled the plugs out and dry them, everything is good. Car runs great, Caesar came by my bar and had a peak at it. Took him for a ride, and got his ok, that the problem is fixed. Car schedule to go into earnhardt for a new cluth in feb. Just putbrand new tires on the rear after 1 1/2 months of driving. S03s work better on the last 50% of the wheel then the first too me.
Thanks for the help guys

so what bar do you work at and i hate s03's... i barely got 10K miles out of them and i felt them break loose too much. I felt that they were unpredictable and I didnt feel comfotable pushing them to th max potential

They did break away at the begining, i thought it was my driving. Propbably was my driving but they did get better as they wore down. That is why I was hesitant to replace them with the spares in my garage. Im a little lost for which tires to go for next since i will probably need to replace them in a few months
I just recently over took a sports bar out in Paradise Valley called Lagerfields. A bit of a fixer upper, but its paying the bills.
What tires are you running btw? and how do you like them?
