Default Drive Shaft Spacer

I am lowering my car but i read something about getting drive shaft spacers. is this something that is really necessary and whats the purpose of it?

You definitely dont need any spacers if youre lowering your car.

Thanks RED! looks like i am picking up some drive shaft spacers and install them together with my coilovers!

Anyone have camber issues when lowering the s2k?

Just get an alignment after you lower it and you'll be fine

+1, and you won't need spacers... I think that was a "ricer" item they conned earlier s2kers into. ask anyone in AZ who is an inch off the ground and they don't have them without an issue

I never installed spacers and I dropped the car when I first got it back in 01. I did eventually start to get the vibration on acceleration somewhere around 100k miles and swapped the cv cups and haven't had any problems since.

thanks for all the feed back guys!! any more? i am not looking to slam the car just getting better ride control and eliminating the wheel gap between the fender and the top of the tires for a better look!!

more feedback on this issue of if there is any!!

I too had the vibration and swapped the cv cups. i am at stock height. this is a problem with only the earlier ap1s.
