Come drive your S on a safe racetrack for little $
Just like the title says. The event is on the 24th of June, it's a Saturday. Gates open at 7am, cars on track at 8am-4pm, cost is........$75. No walls, no cops, no oncoming traffic, no excuses.
We will be running CCW on the full course for grip and CW on the short course for drift.
The track is ~3.25 hrs from Tucson and ~5 hrs from Phoenix. Anyone from the Phoenix area that wants to go but doesn't want to do the whole drive in one day is welcome to crash at my house Fri night (and Sat night after the event if you wish) as I will be driving up early Sat morning. I have room for 4 or 5 people. My house is on the outskirts of town (NE side) and there is no danger of vandalism whatsoever.
See ya there!

I may try to make it. My friends and i usually leave Friday night and stay in Deming at the Holiday Inn (real cheap), and get up at like 8:30AM and leave to the track. If we make it we'll bring our data logger. should be lots of fun.

Sounds good. Anyone else?
I am probably going up Fri night as well if nobody is needing to stay at my house.
My friend has a radar gun that he will be bringing and I will bring along my GPS setup, we will have planty of toys to play with.

This is actually not an AZR event, it is a standard Arroyo Seco event. I am just attending. Still, it's a great opportunity to get your S on a track for little $$$ and little traffic.

That was a BLAST! Sorry to see none of you guys showed...
There were ~10 cars total with no more than 6 on track at once. Can't ask for safer track conditions than that. And whoever said the S can't be drifted has NO idea. I have some sweet video to prove them wrong.
I was shooting for 1:19's but my tires (all 8 of them) were not up to the task. I will be back with tread and see what I can do. I was able to bust out a mid 1:22 fighting for grip at the rear. It was the fast time of the day so I guess that's nice.
Anyway on to the pics.
