Anyone know where I might be able to get a hold of some Track Wrap (TraccWrap?) by Thursday? I wanna wrap my front bumper and lip before taking it in so it doesn't chip on the way there. If not, any idea how much painters tape I should pick up to do so?

Is the painter not laying down primer and then painting? What are you trying to protect?

He will I'm sure, but I wanted to try and protect against chips as much as possible. I've been told I may be overreacting a little and there wouldn't be any good reason to do this.

You're way over reacting. If you're paying the guy for paint work, then let him worry about it. You're going to have some chips on the areas that are being blended anyway that will need some work.
Put the parts on and take the car to your painter. He should take care of everything else.
