I was out driving for an hour or two and said forget it. Work from home day. I saw 4 people swamp their cars, one was an Integra. I can't believe the chances some people take with their safety and their cars. If a truck is barely able to get through the flood why would your sedan/coupe be able to? I saw a guy in his maxima drive it into a flood and to its death. He stayed in the car for a while then two garbage cans came floating down the road crashing into his car before he exited it. Once he got to the side of the road his car floated about 15' down the road. Crazy day!

it was risky. stock height M3 here. I waited for things to calm down before I tried driving about 8:15-9am. My boss is hardcore so I didn't even think to ask him if I could stay home but I knew there was a contractor coming in I'd have help my boss work with in production. I have a work laptop so technically I could have stayed home and got some work done if he let me. I didn't run the car through anything more than 2-3" and that was low speed. RE11A tires handled the water like a champ even though they only have 5/32nds.

I've seen that driving style for cars that have a mid-corner understeer problem but can easily throttle oversteer. They basically hacksaw it to get some slip angle and then maintain it with throttle. It's a nasty looking driving style for sure.

I have seen a lot of people drive like this. Berny hit the nail on the head....hacksaw to induce slip angle and then maintain. A lot of car/tire setups prefer a slight amount of slip angle. I know the RS3 liked this and I found myself sometimes sharply throwing the car into a corner to get a little bit of slip and then powering out of a corner.
I have not driven a Porsche, but everything I have ever read says that you MUST drive a Porsche differently then you would any other car. Maybe some day
