I am running the stock exhaust with the Berk 63.5mm test pipe. It sounds pretty good. There is barely anymore noise, well I think at least. I installed the Stock exhaust with the test pipe while the car was apart for ITBs so I never really got to drive it without a ton of noise coming from the front of the car. I can say I'm one of the most particular people I know and there is next to no drone, and the sound seems crisp and refined still.

I can take you for a ride next time I see you if you want to hear for yourself.

63.5mm Berk HFC here. Same to report, very little change in noise, no drone either. But dat exhaust smell.

It's important to match the TP diameter on whatever you end up with post cat, otherwise there's another variable introduced that may cause unwanted noise.

Feezy, that would be awesome. Once I get caught up at work I should be making it to the meets regularly, so I can check it out. sse2k, I'll be going with stock catback after the test pipe, so would a 63.5mm be too big? IIRC, the stocker is only 60mm.

This is a must have mod especially here in AZ. Free 5hp easy

EDIT: I forgot to mention many people get a CEL from the secondary o2 sensor because the computerz is like "ZOMG all the airflows!" and then "derp"

Solution is:

EDIT2: Never mind, the Berk seems to come with the CEL fix included.

The 63.5mm sized pipe is the one you want for use with the OEM exhaust system.

The Berk test pipe comes with the built in fix.

I need to pick up one of these myself because I have a CEL from not running a cat
I have an HKS Hi-power dual with no resonators or cat
It's pretty loud but sounds good and it is just a weekend vehicle anyways
I think I've only driven it twice in 2014 so far

UK mod is also a cheap and non-obnoxious option

You'll be fine. I was more referring to using a 70mm TP if you kept the stock exhaust.

Oddly enough, my first real mod was a header and then aemv2 but when I put my berk 63mm tp on, I swear I could hear more air going through the stock exhaust. However, it wasn't noticeably louder. I have since put on an amuse r1 header and hks dual and I think the whole combo sounds amazing

Where did you pick up the Amuse header from?
