The GoPro Hero 3 is a love/hate for me.

I have 2 GoPro Hero 2's and 3 GoPro Hero 1's that I will probably sell so I can upgrade to the 3's.

4k resolution is way over kill - its only 15 FPS so it will be terribly choppy. No one has a screen that can support 4k resolution (Sony will sell a 4k res TV for $25k, commercial projectors are for sale price unknown that also support 4k res). The space required to save 4k res is going to be crazy also, think about how quickly you will fill up your memory cards.

End of the day I will probably end up getting two of them to mount to the Atom but still I think the best improvements are going to be the microphone / smaller and lighter size which will be great when I mount it to my helmet.

Hope they run a good deal on them at SEMA!
