From talking with the M3 crowd, the real LTW wing in tall configuration actually creates downforce and drag enough to slow cars down on long straights. If you plan on tracking it, I'd keep it on for a while untill you are absolutely tired of it. I like the LTW wing. Fits the car.
There are manufacturers that make different top sections for that wing I think. Check those out. I can't tell from the photo but there may be an extension in there that can be taken out to make it a shorter wing.
but anyways, cool purchase! I'm slightly jealous!

I agree you should leave it. They are def a functional piece from the research I did, so for factory designed aero.

So is it going to become a track car? What are the miles etc etc?

I do plan on tracking it. It's first track day is this weekend actually so I'm very excited. I don't think I have the heart to strip it and make it a dedicated track car but we'll see. It's always nice to have a track ready car that you can use on the street. Right now it has somewhere around 126k miles, it's been repainted by Scott's Coach Works in Scottsdale and the car was serviced at Bavarian Auto since it was in the previous owner's possession.
