Classy company for glass replacement
K&B Auto Glass Works - EXCELLENT!
480-229-4748
Background:
Late May - the windshield I had installed by a major glass company in December cracked out with a rock hit at 30MPH in traffic! It was the glass they made, which was supposed to be stronger... I called my insurance company, went through the process and called that major company again - this time asking for the Honda glass which lasted 2 1/2 years for me. They took all of my information and told me it would take two weeks, but would call me in two days to schedule the appointment once they placed the glass order. They never called me back in the entire two weeks... (remember the car sits in the garage 99% of the time) I called them, they had no record. I called my insurance company, who had warm transferred me to the company and they had the information, including the glass company confirmation number, the glass company couldn't figure it out... I asked to use another company. We called several shops and they all said two weeks to get the glass.
The glass was completely cracked out after the hit, from end to end.
I called Earnhardt's and asked if they did their own glass replacement and they said they used K&B. I called my insurance company and told them I wanted to use K&B. They called K&B with me and I talked to Michael. He asked if I wanted the glass replaced that afternoon (this was yesterday / Friday) - same DAY!!. I scheduled an appointment for today and they showed up on time, replaced the glass and it is all installed.
GREAT SERVICE!! This is a small three or four person company that takes pride in their work and the kind of people I like to do business with.

Can't speak for all insurance companies - I went through their service, I told them the situation up front and they called K&B with me. I was never told of a problem.
I know Wil had Honda glass put in his car and it cost less than the crap I had put in by the major glass company.

I'm on-line with the suggestion.
I had my second glass replacement done by K&B.
Here's my story...
About three months after picking up my new stook, the windshield took several hits from all the land mover trucks here in the East Valley...
The last one was massive! A heavy hauler, on I-10 moved over to the right and picked up all sorts of missiles. My windshield was wiped out.
I called my insurance company, and I did sign up for extra damage. I went with the standard company "SafeLite" ... I think that's how they spell their name?
Safelite came out to my work. I went out to greet them and found that the windshield was defective - it had a HUGE scratch on the passenger side around the wiper area. I said NO to that installment. That was Wednesday. On Friday, SafeLite said that they had a new windshield and that they are going to come to my house. On Friday, after the installer had put in the windshield, I noticed that it was the SAME scratched glass. But by then, it was too late. I called the company, filed a complaint, and said that it is okay... After all, the windshield had a life-span of less than a year in this area. Well.... Here's what I didn't count on! The installer scratched my plastic moulding under the sun visors, AND broke the tangs on the right side that hold the moulding together. What could I do?
Here's the most crappy part... The glass was crap. Whenever I had direct sun on the glass, I could see millions of bubbles in the sandwich layer that caused "fuzziness". Shortly after the crap glass was installed, I encountered another flung missile that took out the sh!tty windshield.
I called Earnhardt's and got the name of their windshield installer and went with OEM glass.
I've had the OEM glass now for 4 months. It is clearer and the installation was fantastic. During the installation with the OEM and K&B tech, I was shown all the hack crap that the SafeLite installer did. What a hack job!
I am totally satisfied with K&B's installation, and I am very pleased with the quality of glass replaced. NO bubbles in the sandwich layer and my glass is SO MUCH clearer.
I do try to avoid missiles from dump trucks, but know that your insurance company will go with YOUR team and K&B is the team that I highly suggest. Great installation and good product.
Over.
