Default Amp

Anyone know how to wire up an amp for some subwoofers? Also..anyone know if there is a chart or something that I can look at to get an idea of what guage wires to get for an amp? I amrealy have the amp and subs..just need the amp kit to get it installed.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Jeff

PS: Where can I go to find a cheap sub enclosure for the S? I have 2 10inch subs.

I usually go:

100-250W Amp - 8 gauge
250-600W Amp - 6 gauge
600-1000W Amp - 4 Gauge
1000-1500W Amp - 2 gauge

This is up one size from the recommended sizes used by most amp/wire kit manufactures. Most kits tell you what size amp you can hook up with the kit.

I'd do what this guy says, he knows his stuff. Do you have OEM or aftermarket radio?

+1. how many channels is the amp? how many watts RMS/peak? Are the subs dual voice coil or single? how many ohms are each coil? how many watts can each sub handle RMS/peak? answer those and we can draw up a sweet diagram in MS paint
