Oh holy shit. I always zip tie my caliper to a control arm while working on the brakes, but this will push up the SS line conversion very quickly. Probably doesn't help that after the last two events I've had to bleed when I got home due to heat. Scary.

^ Are you running the super blue?

Unfortunately our AZ tracks are so short that when the checker flag waves we get like .5mile for cool down . That and some tracks we dont even get a full lap. I keep an eye on the clock and take notice of when the track goes green for our session and then I will monitor my clock throughout the session and the last 5 minutes of the session I just start cruising around the track and dont use my brakes hard or at all. That is the only way to allow for proper brake cooling and to avoid boiling brake fluid....

Yeah I'm on super blue, and so were my rotors! I need to set a stopwatch or something for the last 3-4 min each session for cool down. Half a lap after checkered wasn't nearly enough.

Tech day

FYI....Having a 10mm flare wrench (non-harbor freight) makes life so much easier when installing SS lines.

Yeah we would need to done one. I now probably need brake pads and fluids for my TSX so I gotta get that going first.

Richard,

Any suggestions on the pads. I has StopTech pads with their rotors and lines. Should I go with Hawk semi-metallic or Ceramic?

SS lines aren't expensive and are easy to install. My set is from challenge.

Is anyone running vents to the front? I wonder how much they help.

After talking to Robert I decided to go with the PBR Ultimates ceramic pads for my next aggressive street/track pad on the civic. He runs them on his S. I like the way they have the shims built into the pad, which made for a nice fit. I'm looking forward to putting them through the paces. After the break-in, I immediately noticed they had stronger intial bite over the blues I was running.

Will anyone be out at AMP on April 6th?
Or maybe with NASA on April 13/14?
I'm considering running with NASA on the 13/14 but i'm not sure if i will be out there so quickly. This hobby is quite pricey.

Is there actually? Like a private club?
