118 Degrees Outside Today
I thought that it felt a little hotter than normal today. Geesh, summer needs to end so we can get back to some nice weather.
I am not complaining because I know it is Phoenix but 118 is just crazy hot.

Having spent my first 2 weeks here with 110 average temps, I really don't understand what people mean by "Dry Heat". Hot is Hot, so seriously when does it start to cool down?

You have not been here long enough to understand. In the first 3 years of being here your body will change and your blood will pick up 20% more water. So for you it is hot here. For the rest of us, not as hot.
2 weeks and you are complaining? Typical New Yorker.

I hated my first couple years here. Then you just accept that Phoenix is "center of the sun" hot during the summer. I also think you do aclimate as mentioned by Wil.
Once you have accepted where you are now living - you will find A/C to be not just a friend, but a saviour. You will realize that if you need to get outside, just hop in your car and head north - within about an hour or so you will find a nice place to pull over and put your top down.
You know you have been here long enough when you can actually find comfort in anything south of 105F. I can be outside, on the golf course, clean the pool/yard up until about 106 - then its mojitos and the swimming pool

Um, William...Wil hasn't posted in this thread?! That was Lee
As many can attest from the internal temperature of my home, I now comfortably enjoy anything shy of 100 degrees and have only minor discomfort with anything hotter.
