I have the below UKDM AP2 tail light, with built in fog light, in perfect condition, and I want to swap for a USDM version with reverse light.

Yep, straight swap. We just ship each others.

I'm not sure on the modding - I expect there would be some wiring to do as you guys don't have a fog on the car at stock do you?

It's a legal requirement here, so they have to build them in. The older cars had a central one in the middle of the rear lip. on 04 and newer they did this and spoilt the balance

Reverse light is on the other side (Left rear light) or on <04 both sides.

 

Yes that is how I plan to do it. I'd like pictures of proposed swap so I can see condition.
