I just did a shipping order on wheels with tires considerably cheaper and the total for them was 1600 so there you go add in my wheels more expensive and tires and the price is sitting just find. The crap wheels I was looking at were 239 for the front and 250 for the back the tires all together were 500 on smaller wheels. So if anyone has any more complaing to do, please do not post your replies. Shipping is almost $200 dollars also so I am only actually getting 1900 for wheels that cost 2200 plus tax that are not more than a month old

first of all, you aren't gettin 1900 for wheels that are worth 2100 or 2200 whatever you put they are 1600 BRAND NEW! you have tires on it, add the price to the rims ok give or take 2100 here n there but they are USED one, two, wrong tire size, three, why spend that much on a used one wiht wrong tires, whereas i can buy them BRAND NEW for aroudn that price iwht the RIGHT TIRES and BETTER TIRES or tires of MY choice. thats what we are saying, we aren't trying to put you down bro.

 

I don't care what Tire Rack recommended, something doesn't look right. You could clear a lot of this up if you simply posted the information I requested in a PM to you a few days ago. We already know the size of the rims. I'd like to have clearer pictures. I'd like to know:

1. Offsets
2. Tire sizes


It's not too much to ask when looking to spend $2000 on something.

 

*SIGH* NO this is not the reccomend tire size by tire rack....putting the 225/45/17 on a 9.5 inch tire for the rear is questionably safety. The specific rim width range for that tire is 7-8.5 inches. It is on a 9.5 inch rim. This is more than an inch beyond the design specifications for that tire and can cause premature failure.

Combined with the fact that you are running a 225 rear on a car who's stock size is effectively a 245. This can lead to dangerous handling conditions. I doubt you screwed up but whoever sold you the tires/rims did. You either have way to narrow tires for your set up or somehow they flipped the rear tires and the front tires. You should check your front tire width...it is written on the tire and will let you know if the tires have been flipped.

Seriously if you bought these from tirerack I would call them and complain because they sold you the wrong tires and they should make it right...

 

Pm you the tire size once I believe and I will post it, offset I am not sure like I told you tire size for the front is 205/50 for the front 225/45 for the rear. If your car was lowered you would have just enough space not to rub I just took my springs off so you cant see this in the pic. The pics show you the wheels and the condtion of the rim what else would you like to see and I will be sure to take a more specific pic.

 

I did get these from tirerack and I have a turbo on the S the car has handled fine and not given me any trouble. The wear has been fine considering the few times I have driven it and the tires look to be in amazing shape the nubs are still on the tire. Thanks I will call though and see what is up.

you are not necessarily correct. I spoke iwht a tirerack employee for the sp1's about a week ago and the tires recomment are 225 in the rear as i wanted 17 9.5 or atcually not wanted but htats what they have and thats the tire size he said they recomment.
