I purchased this helmet from a racing supply store on closeout last week.
I am selling it because it is too tight. It says size 7 (56cm), I usually wear a 7-1/8 and I though this would work, but too snug. ;-(
It is an open face model LX with the Snell 2000 rating, which is rated for auto racing (Autocross, TT and others) and has a fire retardant Nomex lining. Manufactured in November of 2000.
The Simpson Cruiser replaced the LX series and sells for $299 with a $25 upcharge for black. If you are pricing other helmets, you should be aware that the SA rated helmets are more expensive than the M rated (M isn't flame retardent) motorcycle counterpart.
New Size 7 Black, with sunvisor. Simpson, made in USA.
