I have a new Burtman brushed aluminum kit for sale. It was removed from the box for pictures and because it's a big @ss box. Purchased with intentions of using and decided to go another way. My loss is your gain.

Are these pictures of all the pieces? If so, I think it's the Basic Kit.

My apologies and thanks to rice-CHRISpies for bringing to my attention this is the basic kit. For some reason I always thought it was the extended. Price has been adjusted accordingly. I still have the sales receipt and paid 200+ for the item.

Looking at it, it will fit an ap1 or ap2. it has the right pieces for both car models.

 

Umm no, the center console pieces will only fit the later style dash.

 

Ooo, also it looks like this kit is for RHD.

Notice the dash side pod covers. The one on the top (first photo) and left (second photo) has the opening for the fan level LEDs. Are these the same on LHD?

 

Kit is for LHD. Not positive but I don't think Burtman makes a RHD kit.

Regarding AP1 / AP2 fitment, I checked Burtman's website and it appears one kit fits all. The center console horseshoe piece is for AP2 only. There is 2 different pieces (in pictures) for the emegency & roof button depending on model of car. Door handle trim will fit both. Door handles are same on both, etc. There isn't a piece for drink holders for either AP1 / AP2 - that doesn't come with the kit.

I had an '02 AP1 and my climate controls had the fan led buttons.

How do these attach? Do they go on top of the oEM ones?

The back of the aluminum has 3M tape. They fit over the top of the OEM piece. Many board members have them and love it. According to Burtmans web site and member reviews, they attach very well and you won't have problems with them falling off.
