Trying to get rid of an S2K engine I purchased from the used car auctions. Was going to get an S2K with blown engine, but purchased an EVO at a great price instead. I personally picked it out as this was going to be a personal vehicle. Less than 1000km on the car, engine was leaked down and compression tested.

What's the difference from the US spec engine. What is the compression ratio. Thanks

I remember that JDM F20Cs compression ratio is 11.7:1 and the catalog spec is
250ps.

 

Can these engines be pickled, and if so, for how long. I am thinking that I might like to buy a basket case or blown engine s2000 in a few years and turn it into a track car or just a plain fun car that I don't feel so anal about where I park it etc.

The engine is just engine only, no ECU or transmission.
