Default Inline Pro 2.5L

Just as the title says, I'm interested in selling my Inline Pro 2.5L. Either as a short-block or a full long-block. Or interested in making a trade with for somebody's working stock F20C. It just today had a headgasket failure and tomorrow Inline will be contacting me and it will be fixed before the motor is sold (unless sold as a shortblock, as in that case it doesn't matter).

The 2.5L needs a AEM EMS to run properly as well as larger fuel injectors. With this sale, I would be fully willing to sell the AEM as well as the injectors with the motor.

The motor is definitly strong and makes 251whp and 188wtq

The EMS would sell alone for 1200 as I would include the UEGO unit and wideband sensor with them as well. The injectors I'd let go alone for 200. And the short-block for $4500. However, I will not part the EMS or injectors unless there is a seperate buyer for the motor who would like the motor by itself.

For the short block + the EMS + Injectors I will sell it all for $5000
For a trade either your working short or long-block for my 2.5L + EMS + injectors $3800

If all you wanted was my shortblock, and were not going to do a trade your own - $4000

In this sale, the buyer will assume their shipping expenses as well as paypal expenses if paypal is used. I will assume my own shipping expenses if receiving your short/long block

I'd be tempted if I hadn't just dropped my rebuilt motor into the car on Saturday. No way I'm doing that again...

I don't know, it just happened today. I will be looking into it tomorrow, but I can't tell you why. I just know that I was driving down the road and watched the temps start to climb above 195 which is where they normally sit. They bumped up to 205, then I put the heater on full blast (temps outside ~ 40*F) it stabilized a little, the started to climb again to 215 when I turned it off and pulled into a parking lot. It was also puffing some white smoke. I was driving normally, not beating on it at all.

Basically I wanted to save it before it had a chance to overheat...I understood what was happening as a headgasket failure with the smoke + heating problem.

But again this doesn't tell us why. The motor is tuned very conservatively, and I have not had a chance to actually track it. There have been about 4800miles on it thus far, with 3000 breaking it in.

Only other "power" mods are, SOS TB, T1R Testpipe and K&N drop-in filter. Of course it is tuned, it can't run on the stock ECU

i wonder if it may be more benefitial to go with a spoon headgasket instead of stock.

man your troubles are making me rethink my plans, but 5K is an incrediable price for this guys. If no one picks it up when it's fixed then look to me.
