The internals that make up the stroker are Spoon selected and toleranced OEM parts. The block is just stamped F20c. I’m not sure why they choose to do that but it doesn’t really matter either way.

The benefit of this specifc setup is you get a meaningful bump in compression ratio over an OEM USDM motor. And the whole toleranced and assembled by Spoon thing of course.

The last word from my Honda contact:

2.2L short block is available, but requires a valid DEALER requested 08-09 vin number. Even then, they are months out.

My cost went from $3900 to $5500 in a one month period.
