Powder coated in a dark purple finish with silver lettering.
The raised letters were sanded down to the bare metal prior to being clearcoated

Disclosure: 2 imperfections - one at the front and one little mark close to the rear end (closest to firewall once installed)

FYI - installation of the valve cover is EASY. No special tools needed. It will take you no more than 30mins to replace valve covers. You dont need to drain your oil, just remove your current cover (a few bolts) and replace with the new one.
