It is going to take me about a week to get mine back to Big Ben (since my maechanic at honda decided to go on vacation the week he was supposed to build my new engine)....I should be able to ship it out within a week...

They look real nice polished. I did this one last year. Lots of work....TLC. There are probably less than a dozen total S2000s in the world with the polished intake manifold. I know of 4 or 5 from this board. WTTW Make sure you put the Hondata gasket in when you change out the manifold.

BTW does the polish surface goes off with time? Is there anything that can help to preserve this polished look?

You first have to grind off the casting marks. I used an angle grinder with a sanding wheel attached, and then used a dremmel tool with the sanding drum to get in the tight areas. After the casting marks are gone, simply start with very coarse grits of sand paper and start wet sanding it smooth going to finer and finer grits. The last grit I used was like 420 or so. Then I used Meguires Mag & Aluminium Polish to rub it to a high shine. The hardest part is the sanding. The casting marks came off within an hour, sanding takes a few days, and polishing takes about 2 hours.
