Mugen only made the type 1 for a few months, then concern of hydrolock came into play so they redesigned it!!!
The type 2 works with both stock and mugen bumper. The only reason there is a hole in mugen bumper is because the mugen front bumper has a different shape to stock, therefore it does not have the high pressure air pocket that the intake uses when used with stock bumper. They had to put a hole so intake would work!
I helped oshp515 install his mugen intake after he helped me install my mugen intake a year before, he bought it after he saw what it did for my car!!!
1000 shipped is a killer deal. No bullshit.
Ooalloems2koO , you already have a Mugen hood, so you dont need to cut the underside of stock hood.
Any one else, the cutting of hood is no big deal, the only time anyone will ever see the hole is when hood is up. You can buy weather stripping, to place over the cutout edges, and I swear to you, it will look like a factory install.
