FS: Kenwood KDC-MP819 head unit with DJ Qube controller mods
#1
This is the last un-sold item I had from another thread. Sorry to start another, but it was easier to close one and start another.
Anyway, This a fairly new head unit. I got it in November and had the mods done right after. Qube's mod one was of the best things I've seen for making the stock S2000 audio controls work with aftermarket stereos. It works fantastic.
Back to the point... Fairly new Kenwood KDC-MP819 with DJ Qube mods (which includes another set of stock audio controls interfaced with the Kenwood remote) and the wiring adapter for the stock stereo harness...Ready to plug & play. Features of the MP819 include: AM/ FM/ CD/CD-R/CD-RW/ MP3, Sirius satellie compatible, detachable face, displays ID3 text on screen, front, rear & sub pre-amp outs, as well as 50w x 4 max power. $325 shipped PRICE REDUCED TO $250
I can provide more info or photos if needed. Contact me by email esschwinn@aol.com
Thanks!

Unless you've got a Kenwood head unit, this controller WILL NOT work. The parts are custom modifeid to integrate the S2000 stock dashboard audio controls to the Kenwood wireless remote. If you sent your controls and wireless remote to DJ Qube to be modded, last I checked, it would cost $199. At that point, the stock controller and the wireless remote are basically useless outside an S2000. I had to buy another stock controller to put back into the car before selling it. That cost $175, $199 for the mods to be done and $250 for the head unit itself. Bottom line, if you do have a Kenwood head unit, $ 60 is not enough for just the controller.

well i wish i talked to you before you bought another contoler. i have two that are un modified. i was going to send one to qube to convert for me, and then install that one once it got here. i just thought i would try.
oh yeah and i do have a kenwood deck

That certainly would have saved me some cash too. We could have worked a deal. But at this point, I either want to sell it all together (head unit & controller) or get more (than $60) for the modded controller. I feel I've got more into it than the head unit itself.
