how do you figure this? considering Wisconsin can get cold as hell during winters, etc? turning the rubber into stone (thin plastic bags, basement or not). just curious that's all.. unless your basement was heated?

Tire storage tips from Hoosier's website:

1 Remove the tires from the vehicle.
2. Remove the air from the tires and store them on their side in a cool/dark/dry environment.
3. Place tires in a black plastic bag when stored during the "off-season".

Sounds to me like bagged tires in a Wisconsin basement is ideal.
