The wonderful State of Colorado began using California style emissions standards early in 2022. I purchased my S2000 used late 2021, and did not realize the standards were changing until after taking delivery. Otherwise, I'd have purchased an S2000 that came with a factory cat...
Anyway, I had to buy a brand new cat to pass emissions... $1200. See receipt, attached. Don't get me started on how god damn frustrating that was.
The car is now registered in South Dakota and running a Link ECU and IDGAF about Colorado emissions.
This cat was only used for about 6 weeks. I ran it through emissions, passed, then put the Berk high flow cat back on at my next oil change.
This thing is like new and it is now discontinued. Receipt available from May 2022z
No, they do not come with heat shields when you buy them from Honda.
