FS:Brand new Compustar alarm and remote start
#13
i think it's called 2wss-as i used to have one. great alarm. remote start module is made for both manual and automatic. this is how it works.
1. while car is still running put the car in neutral and apply e-brake.
2. foot off all padels.
3. turn the key to off position and get out of the car. and car should remain running.
4. using your remote you lock the doors and car will shut off on it's own and car is ready for remote start. at this point you CANNOT unarm the car to get inside. if you do this remote start is deactivited until you go through steps 1-4. but there is also another way to bypass this annoying steps!
look at the brain module and one side will slide open like battery cover on remote controls. there is one wire sticking out. cut that wire in half and your alarm will think your car is an automatic. so whenever you press remote start button on your remote car will start without going through steps 1-4. bad part is if you leave your car in a gear then you are screwed cuz car will crank and crank until it starts or til you stop it.
funny story to this. i am the person who never leaves the car in gear. i trust my ebrakes and most of the times where i park i dont need to leave the car in gear. so when i had my last car (rsx-s) i cut that wire in brain module and used it like an automatic.

the day to pick up my s2k. i been talking to a salesman through email for close to a month and finally it's my trade in day. walk in to the dealership and gm wanted to take my car to test drive since hes buying the car from me. snail was installed on my k20 motor so i miss it but top down is better. gm comes back gets out of the car and give car keys to the salesman. then he goes "so how does remote start work?" so i told him press 1 to lock the car and press 2 and hold it down and it will start. then i realized gm left the car in gear and did not apply e-brake. so car started to roll and hit the brand new navigator in the lot. at this point my front end is ****ed. my headlight was all scratched and pushed back so side fender was all screwed my hood was damaged and need new bumper due to major scratches.
so its up to you if you wanna cut that wire or not.
