did you add those things to hold the soft top down? I don't remember it being like that from the factory.

the bumpers are OEM with the factory hardtop, it is the secondary damage preventative. i have an OEM and it has 2 measures to keep you from damaging the hardtop n softop while the hardtop is on should you neglect to plugin the wire needed to turn off the soft top main switch. while the hardtop is on the car it press's a button(wired to roof button, plug n play)

As a note - those don't appear to be OEM bumpers. The OEM bumpers are just a single piece of rubber that kinda pops into place and holds itself in. That looks to be aftermarket.

Good luck with the sale!

do you have to take out the soft-top assembly to install the hardtop?

if you look at the pictures, or read the previous posts, you can see that the OP has the soft-top assembly in place, while having an OEM hardtop installed.

Hi all, the "bumpers" that you see in the pic are a very effective and clever design from the previous owner to prevent soft top movement and rattle over bumps.

Interesting, could you get some detailed photos of those? I'm in need of something like that to keep my soft top from rattling.
