Matt,
The motor was installed at 45k. Along with the '02 clutch and comptech flywheel.
I'm not including any of the mods at the $19k price since I've got so many Speed Vultures swarming around looking to buy them off me! But I'll leave them on if someone wants to pay for them - obviously at a discount off what I paid for them.
I'm going to start dismantling the car to return it to stock on Monday. And then later next week I'm going to turn it in to the dealer since the lease is up on Feb. 23. I guess I could wait a little longer, but not much.
I spoke with the dealer and it looks like it's going to cost me $2700 to turn it in despite some of the blemishes. It seems pretty much established. The buyout, as I said is $22k. So the $19k price is basically the same to me (-$300), but obviously more of a PIA since turning it into the dealer is easier than arranging for it to be sold to a private party. However, the advantage for me in selling it to a private party would be to not have to take the rollbar off and then replace all the stock plastic etc. So I'm willing to include the rollbar for $300 ($600 new). That would mean the total cost (with no other mods) would be $19,300. It would save me several hours in the garage working.
Obviously the Comptech Flywheel is free since I'm not paying $800 in labor to get it out!!
The other mods and what I want for them are below. Keep in mind they're already installed so you don't have to do the work!
AEM intake $200 ($300 new)
Mugen front swaybar $200 ($400 new)
VAFC $200 ($400 new) tuned by Church Automotive (ultimate lurker)
Shoulder harness mounts for driver side $50 ($105 new)
Sparco Ultra seat and mounting apparatus, etc. $250 ($350 total new)
Sparco 5-pt. harness $150 ($200 new)
Volk TE-37 wheels (17x7.5 , 17x8.5) $1000 ($2400 new)
thanks,
dt

Ooops. I guess I opened up a whole can of worms. My goal, at present, is to sell the car, not all the stuff. I may sell off all the stuff if I end up returning the car to stock and turning it back into the dealer. But those prices were intended for the person buying the car, not for picking apart by the Speed Vultures .
Once I've figured out what's happening to the car, I'll continue this post with all the stuff for sale separately. Not that I'm necessarily changing the asking prices or anything, I'm just, you know, thinking of the car first.
thanks,
aaron
