why only get the local cops involved...this occurred over state lines and via the internet. The FBI computer fraud task force also has jurisdiction. Too bad you sent it via fedex instead of postal service. If you had you could get the postal service(a FBI again) involved under mail fraud.

Exactly! Word to the wise, Only deal with reputable members with high s2ki age. If they can't invest more than 6 months of their time on this site, then why would you invest hard earned money in them ...

Hmm I do have a friend who's in the FBI. Let me know how this plays out. I'll ask him what can be done on his side...

Thanks for all of the comments and support, guys. I've got to say that I'm about as optimistic as they come and I'm pretty pessimistic about this particular deal. Would truly make my day if something positive could come out of all of this.

Appears that 3 of us should own the same set of wheels and tires at this point. I'd very gladly accept the funds back and call it a day. Kind of a cop out as that wouldn't result in much motivation for it not to happen to some other innocent victim though.

I put a lot of faith in Karma and truly wouldn't want to be on the other side of this one!!

Hope you all have great Holidays!!

Speed E -- I got my money order from post office. I paid the post office to check the status of the money order and filed to stop the money order. I am going to call his local police department and file a charge against him. Luckily, my friend is a lawyer. He is telling me what to do to make sure justice is served. Fraud is serious crime and he could go to jail for it.

jdm2zzzzzz -- check your email.
