Build Motor Ready To Go!
I have gotten word from Mike Simon that he has a build motor ready to ship. The cost is $6800 + core, and includes:
Sleeved Block
9:1 Compression JE Pistons
Head polishing
Stainless Valves
Valve Retainers
Pauter Rods
Polished Crank
Valve Springs
Head Studs
Main Studs
Machined + Assembled
You may be thinking: "Why so much money!?". With out going in to too much history with Mike Simon, he has developed THE most powerful F20C motor that I have EVER heard of. He was making well in to the 900rwhp range by the time he ended his drag racing career.
I had located Mike Simon by stumbling across some people talking about him making rediculous power with the F20C motor. I called the dyno shop, and begged for his number. About a month later I got in contact with him...
He had dynoed at 730rwhp at 27psi, and later went to the track and ran much more boost, with nitrous. You can find pictures of his race car on my website. http://www.chrisdrivesafastcar.com/gallery...php?category=10
Back to the point, "why so much money?". If you've noticed there haven't been too many people making S2000 motors.... There are several unique things about this motor which aren't evident, even to those who have disassembled them. Mike Simon has developed his motor build for several years and has perfected it.
His motors are capable of handling anything you can throw at it, and it will hold together like a champ. Simply put, his product is compliation of the best parts, and the best experience out there for the F20C.
Several turbo S2000 users have purchased his motors and they have been running well. Personally speaking I am running over 400 rwhp with mine, and plan to extend that to the 500rwhp very shortly. (see my website for more info)
Please post any questions on the forum, and contact me for purchase information.
Thanks!
Chris

Chris, how much hp could be expected from this engine? I didn't see an estimate for it in your post.
thanks
And bring your car to one of the Chin Motorsports events at Sebring or Moroso so we can all drool over it!!

The motor would make about 160 hp. Put a small turbo on it, and it would make about 375 hp. Put a medium turbo on it, and it will make about 420 hp. Put a big turbo on it, and hopfully it will make around 500 hp. Put a rediculous turbo on it, and it will make around 750 hp. Run nitrous and max out the rediculous turbo and you'll make around 900hp.
Mike's drag motor was running race fuel at 10:1 ratio.
Lowering the compression will allow you to run higher boost levels on pump gas.
