They aren't either of those things. They are actually crappy and the chrome flakes off. If you need them then get them but there is nothing special about them and in fact I'd say they are of the same or lesser quality as stock lugs. from my experience, the ones i used on my TE's, they never "flaked off" and seem to be normal lugs , except these come with ALL Volk rims. you do need a thin wall socket so they can fit on the volk rims.
