Advice on value of OEM HT?
#21
The problem here is that many people think items have an inherent value just because they think thats what its worth and/or because they've seen one sell for that much.
The bottom line though is that something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it (and does). You can think its worth whatever you want, but at the end of the day its only worth what you actually sell it for.

and i see them sell in minutes for $2500 to $2800 and more. Since there are lessand less available they more than likly will go up in $$

list it for 3k and see if you get a biter. the only way you can get them now is either used, or in a different color and repaint it to your car. last time i spoke to my friend who works at honda NA, they're either out of production or holding them at the warehouse and not releasing them. if you knew what the employee discount was, then you'd be crazy paying used prices

2400 for a oem gpw hardtop is a little too much imo. not to bash on your sale price or anything like that but an authentic gpw mugen ht will sell for 2500 over an oem anytime. i've seen many listings for oem ht and they range between 2k - 2400 depending on how the condition of it is. plus he has a chip in the paint so theres goes the condition of it. glws though. the ht is a rare piece now that its not in production anymore.

Authentic Mugen for $2,500 painted? Yeah, that will sell all day long... They normally sell in the 3k range.
Also, am I the only one going to point out this doesn't really belong in this forum? No offense to the OP, but you'd probably be better off asking in the exterior section.

In all honesty I agree with hanging onto it unless you really need the cash. When it comes to selling something it's all about finding the right buyer more so than the price, you can have something for sell for $300 bucks and constantly get offers for $100-150 then one day have someone pay your asking price.
As for selling, $2500 will make for an easy sell, but if your willing to hold out you may find that person that is willing to pay $3k+
Good luck with your decision.
