I must give you a bump because I did the same thing tonight using 2000 grit after reading this post and it looks amazing. I am not sure I got quite as much gloss as you but I used 2000 grit and followed with Meguiars All Metal Polish. Anyways, buy this guys and you won't be disappointed or take the LONG amount of time required and do it yourself (Hindsight would have made me buy his).
