Default ***new***red/black Carbonfiber Oem Style Hood

I have decided to NOT install a custom black and red c/f hood I had made for my car.

The hood was purchased last September (2003) and has been in my living room every since. It is ready to install and to be bolted onto the stock hinges. For added hold-down security hood latches can be installed. If you want to keep your windshield washers, then it is not a big task to dremel the holes in the hood for the washer sprays.

The reason that I am not installing the hood is that the "red" color is not a bright red, but rather, more of a burgundy red. My car is silverstone, black, and red. The Burgundy red of the c/f hood does not match the color red that is on the car, so I don't think it would look good with my car.

The hood would look FANTASTIC on either an all black car, or a silverstone car with an all black interior. Personally, I feel that on an all black car the hood would greatly enhance the eye appeal and add some subtle color.

The price of the hood is $450.00 plus shipping (I would prefer to NOT ship it - I think shipping could run as high as $100.00 because of the size). If it needs to be shipped I still have the box it came in.

If you want to give your car a spring treat -- here it is !!!

Elliot - This was the same thing I was looking to put on my car (silverstone/red). Is this the hood offered by NOPI.com?

Have you held it against your car to see how off it would look? I think the contrast in reds would be nice.
