Default Vortech/Comptech Blackbox (Timing Controller)

Hi everyone! I recently purchased a Vortech SC with 8k miles on it. I should be receiving it tomorrow. What I was not aware of is that the Timing controller and pulley are not the same between the different years of the kit. I have this 2005 kit with a 4.5" pulley. Hopefully someone is using a stand alone ECU and would be willing to part with their Comptech or Vortech computer mod. I would consider purchasing a piggyback unit (so I can still pass emissions and inspection) but I am worried about the long drives I do and the reliability not to mention the dyno cost.

I am open to suggestions.. Thx!

UPDATE:
I realize that Comptech doesn't even have a Timing Controller just a ESM to trick the computer into thinking there is no boost. Vortech comes with this module too.
Comptech kits comes with a 4.6" pulley, so think I would need to do nothing else but install everything except the timing controller for the AP2 (since I have an AP1). I wonder if there is anything else different between the kits that would prevent me from doing this.....?
