oh yeah, my car has its check engine light on, so i don't know if i'll be able to or should take my car up to beaver run next weekend... says misfire on all cylinders besides 2 and random misfires throughout. might just be bad gas, but i've got a rough idle too. damn my life really sucks.
Hate to give you the bad news, but you over reved your S.

Have your car looked at ASAP.

Although its not impossible, its hard to do....

Bill,
I know what you mean with the water and all at Keystone... I ran my Laser there in highschool and would always tell the guy not to spray any... still its wet and theres no where to drive around it. I guess the idiots dont know its only benificial to cars with slicks

as far as over revving goes....from my knowledge the type of over rev you need to worry about is a misdownshift...for example at 90mph a fourth to second instead of fourth to third. that's a real over rev, whereas slamming the rev limiter into the red ripping through the gears is less of a big deal.

you might know this but it's something i learned so it might teach someone something new..

^^^ exactly... Ive bounced my car off the revlimiter so many times... thats no big deal. its when you downshift and mechanically overrev the engine, thats bad and can cause some bent valves.
