Default Ran 14.10 @100mph with terrible 60 ft. time

Didn't see any other S2k's up the track Sat.....but no big deal cause there were so many people up there we only got 3 runs all day........there was a major problem with so many street cars up there they were rolling water up on the line from the burnout pit....and everyone's 60 ft. times were horrible.....i saw all-wheel drive cars like the Evo's and WRX's spinning all 4 tires threw 2nd gear.....then a red Turbo Supra spun off the line and wrecked into the gaurdrail doing heavy damage to the rear end......it was like ice coming off the line...my best 60 ft. time i could manage was a 2.20.....which is terrible!!....i could of just rolled off the line in 1st gear with hardly any throttle and got a 2.0 or better.....i was hopeing for around 1.85-1.90 60 ft.......so the best 1/4 mile i could manage was a 14.10 @100......but believe me if i would of just rolled off the line that would of been a 13.90....dropping the 60 ft time 2/10 of second to a half decent 2.0.....if i ever go to a better track my S will be in the 13.8 range the way it is now and keep in mind Keystone is at 1400 feet elevation....big difference than at sea level....thats good for 2/10's of a second faster right there!!....those 4.57 gears are much quicker than the stockers.....i compared my timeslips Saturday to the stock ones i had kept and i was 3/10 tenths faster in the 1/8 mile and 4 to 5 tenths faster in the quarter even with the horrible track conditions Sat.....i was faster off the line stock a while ago too....and still ended up 1/2 second faster and 3 mph faster at the line now....so anyone want to head up on a nice Wendsday night or another Saturday and hope for better conditions .......just post and let me know ......LATER,BILL

bummer that the conditions were poor but sounds like it was a lot of fun. i was indoors pretty much all day yesterday working on an exam. my life sucks, haha.

oh yeah, my car has its check engine light on, so i don't know if i'll be able to or should take my car up to beaver run next weekend... says misfire on all cylinders besides 2 and random misfires throughout. might just be bad gas, but i've got a rough idle too. damn my life really sucks.

the weather has been sooo nice that i really really want to get out there and make use of my car though, so i'm glad we have a new note for race events!

hooked up an obd II thingie at a nearby autozone... i was surprised at how much attention this attracted though, i had 3 mechanics checking out the car and asking me all these questions about the car in general... haha.

Bill,

Most saturdays are good for me. Let me know. I'd like to see if the traction control on the X is better or worse for ET. And you do mean Pittsburgh Raceway Park, right?

Just hasslin' you . I still call it Keystone, too. I've been racing up there since '87 and I can never remember to call it PRP.

*Sorry Bill. Just saw your other thread.
