I agree that the elise once your are in feels roomier than the s2000, it might be because it lacks such things as carpet, etc.

I have yet to drive one of my all time childhood favorites - The air cooled 911's. I almost thought about buying a 87 targa driver that was priced very well last year.
I am going to rent a 2006 911 4S from http://www.rentexoticdreamcars.com/ next week as a treat to myself after my chaotic season at my business. Anybody had any experience with this company?
What is crazy is you can pick up a 1998-2003 911 with low mileage for less than 30 grand because of a well known issue that leads to catastrophic engine failure and porsche will not cover it. Google the problem and witness the fury.

I've had an Elise and now an Exige S. I'm in love with the car but its not a lot of fun on the street. You really need to take it to a track to truly appreciate it. The car essentially feels like a race car. Its really built for a certain size people. I'm 5'11" and 170 lbs and I have no problem at all getting in and out but thats because I'm used to it. Like others have said, its very roomy once you get in because you are sitting so low. The seating position in the S2K on the otherhand is way too high (does anyone know if there is a easy way to lower it?). On the street, I would prefer my S2K CR but on the track, nothing beats a Lotus.
