don't 4get about the a/c and radio being garbage, as well!
i agree that the power comes on very quickly; like u don't expect it. fun!
i was torn between a lotus, s2k, and m-roadster. i think i made the right choice, and i wasn't seeking practicality.
your writeup is spot on on BOTH cars!

my ADD won't allow me to read that whole post but i've driven both cars and thoroughly enjoyed them as well....although thought the elise was borderline slow. i know on a track (where it belongs) it isn't but...just sayin....plus the elise is a job to get into for us 'husky' fellas. exige is the only answer.
vette...even base is a blast....gives you the tourque fix you miss with an S

totally forgot about the radio and it wasn't warm enough to use a/c
the radio is like you ran your ipod headphone behind the seats and cranked it up

So has anyone driven a 2008 plus vette to tell me if the steering feels any better than the 2005 i drove. It felt like it was connected to the steering rack with "hot magma" (doctor evil voice)

I test drove a 2009 corvette and it was fantastic, I can't compare the steering to an 05 but it felt great, extremely tight.
But alas I went another direction.

I was wondering if that was in the running for you? Tell me your impressions - what led you to your final decision - what were the pros and cons for you between the benz and vette?
